One of my goals for 2011 is to knit myself a sweater. This is a big deal for me because I am always knitting hats and other small accessories mainly due to the small quantity of yarn required. I only have one hand knit sweater that I wear fairly often and that wasn't ruined by beginner mistakes but it has a hood and its super bulky so I can't wear it with dressy outfits or under a coat. This year I am committed to buying one ball of yarn at a time if I have to in order to have enough for another sweater. And since I cannot physically or financially knit all of the sweaters that I love I have to choose just one. That's the hard part, but I have it narrowed down to these four darling cardigans. Out of the dozens of amazing sweaters I could knit these ones passed my 5 rules. 

#1. Cardigan (Versatility/layering).

#2. No hood (So I can wear it with dressy clothes and to work).

#3. Buttons all the way down (So I don't look like a penguin).

#4. Long sleeves (So I can wear it under a jacket without getting football shoulders).

#5. Flattering shape or waist detail ( So I can wear it dressed up, plus I watch too many What Not To Wear Episodes).

I need your help deciding! Which one do you like best? If I knit the Vine Yoke Cardigan I'll lengthen the sleeves. I've got three smallish projects to finish before I have to choose and then I can start squirreling away the yarn.
