Rios

Bummed that my first pattern submission to a knitting publication was rejected. But that means I get to self publish using whatever yarn I want to! Today I got this skein of Malabrigo Rios in shade Aguas that was destined to be a pair of Macrocystis Mitts. This yarn is sooo soft but will still hold up nicely for frequent use. I found it hard not to spend the last $13 to my name on a skein of alpaca but I think this is a worthy compromise.

Let me know if you are interested in test knitting the Macrocystis Mitts from a rough draft pattern. I am giving my blog readers first dibs. There is no strict deadline, let's say by the end of summer, and upon completion with photos you'll get a copy of the finished pattern and a copy of any one of my other patterns. I normally only take 3 test knitters, so let me know asap if you want in. Contact me here or through ravelry.

Mother Earth Storyteller Beret

Another Storyteller Beret I made last month and completely forgot about. I guess I really was busy. The yarn is handspun and hand dyed bulky merino wool in earth tones. The colors really speak for themselves. The combination of greys, blues, greens, oranges, and lavenders is hard to describe but are so amazing together. It's very soft, warm, and breathable. Listed in the shop.
