Macrocystis Mitts Pattern
Macrocystis Mitts are fingerless gloves inspired by sea kelp. The lacy waves and bobbles were designed with variegated yarn in mind to emulate the effects of algae underwater. The pattern is written in one size, equivalent to a women's medium. I would consider this an intermediate pattern and I recommend some experience knitting in the round with double pointed needles.
Sizing:
Cuff circumference stretches to 8 inches.
Length measures 7 inches.
Materials:
Approximately 115 yards of Malabrigo Rios or worsted weight yarn.
Size 4 double pointed needles.
Size 6 double pointed needles.
Tapestry needle.
Stitch markers.
Scrap yarn.
