Miss Daisy

I made a new scarf! I've had this idea for awhile to make scarves out of vintage cotton prints and add a knitted edging, so I'm glad to finally be seeing the results. This one is sewn using sheer navy blue vintage cotton with white and pink flowers. Vintage cotton is so much nicer than quilting fabric in my opinion. The hard part is going to be finding more great prints! I'm thrilled with how this one turned out and I'm definitely planning on making more for the shop. This one is listed on etsy but thankfully I had enough fabric to make one for myself. Let me know what you think. One thing I love almost as much as knitting is bright prints which are ridiculously hard to knit, lol.

A Late Walk

My goal of acquiring enough fancy yarn to knit a sweater is not going so well. On the bright side, I picked out this handspun yarn by Traveling Rhino's at the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco this summer for my birthday present and finally decided what to make with it. Sometimes I wish I lived in a colder climate so that I could wear hats more often! The pattern I used to make this hat is called Poet Society Tam by Kirsten Kapur.  I'm in love with it and it was way too easy for how cool it looks! If there's one thing I'm good at it's turning yarn into what it was meant to be. :)
